R. China (Laojunshan Ore Field). These are emerald matrix specimens of pegmatite type deposit. The hexagonal prismatic single crystals and aggregates of beryl are acicular and long columnar, embedded in dolomite quartz vein host rock. Dominated by vanadium chromophore, crystals exhibit pale to vivid
