The backdrop of squiggles are the names of ‘strangers’ on the internet who watch me paint and add names to the comments on the stream

so I always enjoy my visits to collect another batch of local barky Ash and Oak

Heavy use of the pyrography tool to get those extra details to transform the piece

Ladybird ‘Speedy’ 2024 - No. 34 in edition on Elm wood from the UK size 14 x 13cm oak ‘Curious Cow’ - Inspiration takenSpeedy created in 2024 a highly detailed Ladybird with vivid red blends to highlight the shape. I use the pyrography tool to highlight line and form with more subtle shadowing than previous editions. Very much compliments the style of the Butterfly, another one of my artworks. Great contrast of natural insect colours complimenting the red tones in the Elm wood. Spray painted by Syd, signed on the front numbered 34 100 on the rear. Size 14 x 13cm.
